SR 361B over the Rocky Creek Bridge Replacement FPID #439935-1-32-01

Project Summary:

EGS was on the PD&E and design team for the SR 361B Rocky Creek Bridge Replacement Project. As part of this project, EGS proposed an innovative concept where we performed electrical resistivity imaging (ERI) in conjunction with the traditional geotechnical investigation, as this site is located within a Karst Sensitive Area (KSA). Based on this innovative approach, EGS was able to delineate the areas of fractured rock present below the footprint of the proposed bridge, and we were also able to provide the design team with the elevation of the rock surface, so that the bent locations could be optimized to minimize pile lengths.
